IFYS has an exciting opening for a Permanent Full-Time People and Culture Advisor within the People & Culture Team. Reporting to the Manager of People and Culture, the People and Culture Advisor will be responsible for the timely provision HR advice and support to managers and employees. This role will also manage projects aimed at continually improving People and Culture processes and practices and contributing to the strategic direction of IFYS.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Provide timely advice, coaching, feedback and support to managers to effectively manage the performance and development needs of employees
  • Support the People and Culture Manager to ensure industrial compliance (e.g. Awards, Legislation, Employment Contracts)
  • Work with managers to develop, implement and maintain set rosters, whilst adhering to staff consultation requirements
  • Provide guidance relating to employee relations, conflict management and workforce planning
  • Coordinate and implement projects as directed by the People and Culture Manager
  • Provide assistance in the recruitment and selection process as required
  • Develop and deliver training for managers
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and monitoring of internal policies, guidelines, procedures and processes

About you:

Armed with a high degree of emotional intelligence and relational skills, you will have ability to provide sound advice when navigating complex ER matters. The successful candidate in this role will be able to demonstrate their experience in this field and have a strong understanding of modern awards and legislation.

Requirements for the role:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources
  • Experience in a similar HR Generalist role
  • Knowledge of modern awards and legislation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to form effective working relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products including Word; Excel; and Outlook
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently
