The role
IFYS has a new and unique opportunity to join the Sunshine Coast Zero Project, which is a collaborative initiative between local health services and housing networks to improve community health outcomes and end homelessness.
As the Project Officer, you will be responsible for driving the development and successful delivery of key projects aimed at preventing, reducing and ending homelessness on the Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay.

Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive project plan aligned with the Sunshine Coast Zero action plan
- Engage with key stakeholders to foster collaboration
- Facilitate team meetings and workshops, including scheduling training and supporting the use of the Australian Homelessness Vulnerability Triage Tool (AHVTT)
- Prepare and distribute reports, materials, and submissions arising from action plans, meetings, and advocacy networks
- Prepare advocacy materials informed by research, data insights and housing outcomes
- Oversee Sunshine Coast Zero communications, including content creation, website updates, Mural/Miro visual management records, and Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (AAEH) website updates as required
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary undergraduate degree related to Human Services highly desired
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management roles
- Exceptional relationship-building skills engaging with crucial external stakeholders
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities
- A high level of computer and systems literacy
- A contemporary understanding of frameworks and research related to reducing and preventing homelessness
Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful:
- Valid Queensland open driver's license with no restrictions, and own reliable transport
- QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
- Licensed Care Service Suitability Check (LCS2)
- National Criminal History Check (a new check will be conducted through IFYS systems)
