The Opportunity:

IFYS has an exciting opportunity for a TCI Accredited Trainer or Learning & Development (L&D) Trainer. IFYS are also extending this opportunity for experienced Residential Youth Worker's (or similar) seeking a new challenge, to join the Learning & Development team as an Organisational Trainer.

As the Organisational Trainer you will deliver Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Training to frontline workers throughout Queensland. You will also deliver The Sanctuary Model training and additional training packages as required.

A valid current Cornell University TCI Associate Trainer Accreditation Certificate is preferred, however is not essential. Therapeutic Crisis Intervention Train the Trainer Version 7 can be provided to the right candidate.

  • Permanent part-time role (60 hours per fortnight)
  • Monday to Thursday and occasional Fridays

  • Flexible work location's, with IFYS offices located in the following areas: Sunshine Coast (Head Office), Moreton, Ipswich, Hervey Bay, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns.

Key responsibilities of the Trainer:

  • Travel state-wide to deliver mandatory training programs
  • Develop and evaluate training materials
  • Complete administrative duties including maintaining training records and creating reports
  • Provide specific feedback on training participants to line managers

Requirements and skills:

  • Experience as a front-line worker within child protection (or similar)
  • Availability and willingness to travel. It is an expectation that the role will spend 75% of your time facilitating training at an IFYS region within the state of Queensland between Monday to Thursday (home on weekends).
  • Experience delivering training (preferable - but not essential)
